As part of our commitment to environmental awareness and conservation, we have implemented a Rain Water Harvesting Unit on our campus. This initiative serves multiple purposes, including educating students about the importance of water conservation and combating the effects of climate change. Our Rain Water Harvesting system efficiently collects and utilizes rainwater from roof tops and surface run-off. With a capacity of 10,00,000 liters, three separate collection tanks ensure that no rainwater goes to waste. The harvested rainwater is then utilized for gardening and sanitary purposes, reducing our reliance on external water sources. By actively practicing Rain Water Harvesting, Vagdevi Vilas School promotes responsible water management and empowers students to become stewards of the environment. Other green initiatives such as rooftop solar power generation units, paper recycling, biogas plant and vermicompost unit are maintained by the R&D department and are used to motivate the students and instill environmental awareness and responsibility among them. Various programmes on environment and energy conservation are conducted in association with organisations such as IISc, TERI, INSEF and Schneider Electric India Pvt Ltd. These programmes encourage students to study nature and learn to value it.

Our modern, well-equipped sports room, sprawling playground, state-of-the-art basketball court, cricket pitch, volleyball & throw ball court, football ground and sophisticated swimming pool help students to excel and become adept in the sport of their choice. Apart from helping students to perform various experiments based on the syllabus, emphasis is also laid on developing those qualities in the students which propel them to become young innovators and change-makers.
